Research Focus

I am a senior cardiology trainee specialising in imaging and heart failure at Barts Heart Centre. I am currently taking time out of my clinical training to undertake a PhD in inherited cardiovascular disease at University College London. My main research interest is in the epidemiology and natural history of dilated cardiomyopathy. Using data from electronic health records, I am developing methods to define dilated cardiomyopathy phenotypes in a standardised way and, by linking this to large-scale genome databases, explore clinical outcomes as stratified by its underlying genetic architecture. I have a strong interest in teaching an hold a post graduate certificate in biomedical and healthcare education.
